1. Purpose

These terms govern the use of the website lemarchanddinterieur.fr (the “Site”) and the download of Le Marchand d’intérieur’s books (the “books”), interior decoration and layout documents in PDF format.

Downloading a book means you accept these terms. The applicable version is the one published on this page on the day of the download.

2. Publisher

The Site and the books are published by Le Marchand d’intérieur, Paris. Information about the publisher and the host is given in the legal notice. Contact: contact@lemarchanddinterieur.fr.

3. Free access, no sign-up

The books are offered free of charge, with no account, no email address and no payment. No product is sold on the Site at this time.

This free offer is temporary. The publisher may end it at any time, without notice. Books already downloaded remain usable under the terms of section 4.

If sales open on the Site, terms and conditions of sale will be published beforehand. They will only apply to purchases made after their publication.

4. Licence

The download grants you a personal, non-exclusive and non-transferable licence for your private use, with no time limit. You may read the books on your devices, print them for yourself, and apply their recommendations at home, including in a home you rent.

Unless the publisher has given written permission, you may not:

• sell, rent, lend or transfer the files, even free of charge;
• put them online, upload them to a sharing platform, send them to others or circulate them in a group;
• reproduce all or part of their content (texts, visuals, tables, templates) in a publication, a course or a service;
• use them professionally, in particular on behalf of clients or students;
• extract their content automatically or use it to train an artificial intelligence system.

To share a book, share the link to its page on the Site instead: everyone can download it themselves.

5. Intellectual property

The name and logo of Le Marchand d’intérieur, the texts, visuals, layouts and books are protected by copyright. A free download transfers no right beyond the licence described in section 4.

6. Nature of the books

The books are advice documents. They are not a project management service, a technical study or a regulatory assessment, and they guarantee no aesthetic or financial result.

The products, brands, references and prices mentioned were noted on a given date and are given for information only. They may change or become unavailable. The publisher does not sell them and receives no payment in connection with them.

7. Liability

The publisher is not liable for the layout choices you make, for differences in rendering due to materials, tradespeople or the light in your home, or for damage resulting from work carried out without a qualified professional.

The files are provided as they are. If a book is unreadable, incomplete or does not match its description, write to contact@lemarchanddinterieur.fr: it will be corrected or replaced.

The publisher does not guarantee that the Site will always be available or that every book will remain in the catalogue.

8. Personal data

Downloading a book requires no personal data. What the Site records is detailed on the Privacy and Cookies pages.

9. Changes to these terms

The publisher may change these terms. The new version applies to downloads made after its publication on this page.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by French law. In the event of a dispute, an amicable solution is sought first; failing that, the competent courts are those provided for by law, and consumers may always bring a claim before the court of their place of residence.
