Real, generated, to come
Every image and every price on the site carries a visible label. Here is what each one means.
The labels, one by one
They appear directly on the site’s images and prices, rather than leaving you to guess where they come from.
- Real projectA project that has genuinely been documented, with its real photos.
- InspirationAn image generated to illustrate a mood. It gives a direction; it does not show a real project.
- Generated simulationA generated before and after showing a plausible transformation, not proof of completed work.
- Verified informationInformation confirmed against a reference source before publication.
- Indicative estimateAn amount calculated from assumptions, not from a quote: this applies to the budgets and ranges in the books and the examples.
- To be measuredA dimension that depends on your room and that you will need to check yourself.
- To be confirmed by a professionalA technical point (structure, electrics, plumbing) to be confirmed on site by a professional.
Where our images come from
The site’s mood photos (home page, categories, before and after, book illustrations) are generated from precise, documented instructions, kept and reproducible. None of them shows a real project.
Book covers: 18 styles have a cover illustrated with a generated image, labelled as such; the other 5 styles and the 7 space constraint books show their book’s designed cover, without an image. The preview pages on each book page are real pages from the books.
How interior projects will be produced
The analysis of your photos and the writing of the interior project will rely on an AI model run by Le Marchand d’intérieur. Your images will never be used to train a model.
Every visualisation will be checked automatically: walls, openings and kept furniture must stay in place, with no floating objects or distorted perspective. An image that fails the check is redone rather than delivered.
No interior project will be marked as delivered without a visualisation that has actually been produced and checked. Today, none of these services is connected.
How visualisations are produced and checked
A visualisation is realistic but not contractual. It is produced from your own photos by an external image engine run by Le Marchand d’intérieur, then checked before you see it.
Your architecture is preserved
Viewpoint, walls, openings, ceiling, any floor not being replaced and kept furniture stay in place. Only the elements you allow change.
Agency-standard quality
A visual focal length of 24 to 35 mm, corrected verticals, plausible light, realistic textures and shadows, natural colour.
Check, reject, regenerate
Every image is compared with your room. A moved opening, a missing piece of kept furniture, a floating object, a distorted perspective: the image is rejected and redone.
A projection, not a promise
The visualisation shows a decorative direction. It is neither a measured 3D reconstruction nor a guarantee of the result.
What is not connected yet
Four things are not connected yet.
- Book sales are not open: the books can be downloaded free of charge for now.
- The “Room by room” collection is still empty, for lack of source content.
- The interior project is not open yet: no photo is uploaded, and no proposal or visualisation is produced.
- Some visuals on the site are still placeholders, showing the name of the expected file, until images designed for Le Marchand d’intérieur are ready.
How your photos and personal data are handled is set out on the Privacy page.
